■ Overview of analog mission stick

● 3-axis mode
The mission stick consists of a base unit and a removable stick unit.
The base unit is equipped with two stick connection terminals (stick # 1 and # 2), A, B, C, X, Y, X, L, R buttons and a start button, and connects to the Sega Saturn main unit. To do. The stick unit is equipped with a 3-axis (AX, AY, AZ) stick and triggers A, B, and C, and is connected to the stick # 1 terminal of the base unit.
For AX and AY, digital bits (Right, Left, Down, Up) are output.

● Caution
If you have only one stick, be sure to connect it to the stick # 1 terminal.

● 6-axis mode
6-axis mode can be set by connecting the optional stick (sold separately) to the stick # 2 terminal.
Digital bits (Right, Left, Down, Up) are output only to the stick connected to the stick # 1 terminal.
Further, the triggers A, B, C of the stick connected to the stick # 1 terminal are output to ATRG, BTRG, CTRG, and the triggers A, B, C of the stick connected to the stick # 2 terminal are XTRG, YTRG. It is output to ZTRG.

Since the lower 3 bits [Bit2-0] = 111B of the 2nd data are reserved as future extension bits, programming that expects this value (111B) is prohibited.

● About digital bits
To operate the Sega Saturn main menu screen, the digital bits (Right, Left, Up, Down) change depending on the AX and AY thresholds as shown below.
