Appendix A

Supplementary information

A.1 Specification change after stream system Ver.1.10

(1) Transfer settings

In Ver.1.01 or earlier, when setting the transfer area → registering the transfer function → deleting the transfer function, the next transfer destination was the transfer area registered first. However, in Ver.1.10 or later, it is necessary to reset the transfer area. In addition, the maximum number of transfer sectors and transfer mode will return to the default state.

(2) Handling of various files

All files on CD-ROM, virtual CD, SIMM and SCSI can be handled by sega_stm.lib. However, you need to use different file system libraries to link.

A.2 Precautions

(1) Prohibit A-Bus access during SCU-DMA transfer

When the transfer mode is STM_TR_SCU or when SCU-DMA is started by the transfer function, only the following functions can be used during the transfer process. Use of other functions is prohibited.

See the following documents for more information:
Developer's Information STN-10 "Restrictions and precautions due to changes in SCU specifications"
No.08 "A-Bus ← → Prohibition of access to A-Bus and B-Bus from CPU during DMA operation of B-Bus"
