2. Pad check

* Before starting the game, check the CONTROL PAD connected to the main unit in software.

1) Check timing
The pad check process is performed frequently not only at the start of the game but also in the title loop ( see Fig. 1-1 in the previous section).
Also, check as much as possible in a place where you can replace the CONTROL PAD even during the game, and respond to unexpected insertion / removal or change of the input device.

2) Check items
The game cannot be started if the CONTROL PAD that is valid for the application is not inserted, or if the CONTROL PAD is inserted only in "Terminal 2". However, this excludes fighting games, falling object puzzle games, and other games where a 1P game can be established with "Terminal 2".
If the CONTROL PAD that is effective for operation is pulled out in the middle of the game, it is judged that the button is not pressed as above, or the game is put in the "pause" state and a warning message is displayed on the screen. It is desirable to do it.

Even if the CONTROL PAD is reconnected after that, it will be possible to operate without any trouble as before it was unplugged. When dealing with putting the game in the "pause" state, it is desirable to cancel the "pause" and restart the game by pressing a button after that, not at the moment of reconnection.

3) Correspondence of other input peripherals
