■ Track layout
The inner peripheral side is the CD-ROM area, and the outer peripheral side is the CD-DA area.

Sectors have Mode2 Form1 and Mode2 Form2 with subheaders in addition to the traditional Mode1. Various interleaved recordings using file numbers and channel numbers are possible.
■ ISO9660 compliant
In the ISO9660 standard, the contents of logical sector numbers 0 to 15 are not standardized. It is supposed to be available to CD makers for boot programs, protection information, etc. to boot the system. By specifying this area in the disc format, GAME-CD can be started. No boot cartridge is required. Logical sector number 16 and above are ISO9660 compliant.
