■ File menu

Open ...
Select the assembled (executable) DSP program from the standard file dialog and download it to SCSP. The only files that can be handled by pEdit are DSP program execution format files (extension ".EXC") created with the SCSP / DSP assembler "dAsms".

Save
Saves the DSP program modified by pEdit in the executable format without changing the file name.

Save As ...
Save the DSP program modified by pEdit in the executable format after setting a new file name from the standard file dialog.

RevertToSaved
Returns the parameter currently being edited to the state it was in before the edit was made (when it was last saved).

Close
Finish editing the currently open DSP program. If the parameters have been changed and have not been saved, you will be asked if you want to save them. When Close is executed, the internal data is discarded on the pEdit side, but the programs and data on the DSP hardware are not cleared.

Quit
Exit pEdit.

■ Edit menu

Find
Searches for the coefficient and address symbol name defined on the DSP program. For the Find function , refer to the "Find function " section below.

Full Address

Window menu

Address
Opens an edit window for the address constants that the DSP uses to access external memory.

Coef
Opens the edit window for the coefficients that the DSP uses for the calculation.

SCSI ID
When pEdit first executes Download after startup, it automatically recognizes the SCSI ID of the development hardware (board), and then sends and receives data to that SCSI ID. Therefore, you usually do not need to use this command.

warning
The development hardware (board) SCSI ID must be set to a different number than all other connected SCSI devices. If the settings are incorrect, problems such as data loss on the SCSI device may occur.
