■ About the use prohibition command of the sound CPU "MC68EC000"

The use of the following instruction codes is prohibited in programming the sound CPU 68000 installed in Sega Saturn.

"RESET" instruction "TAS" instruction

The above instructions are not supported by Sega Saturn, so problems may occur if used. Also, if you need to reset the sound block, be sure to use the main system SMPC reset.

■ Supplement

If you are using the sound driver provided by Sega, there is no problem.
Be sure to adhere to the above restrictions for applications that use their own sound driver on the 68000.
