4. Environment required for sound designer


Regarding software, I will list the typical product names of the minimum required tools. Also, since there are many models of hardware, please refer only to the categories and required functions.

Sampling board or hard disk recording system AudioMedia II is recommended.
A sampler that can be connected to Macintosh via SCSI is also possible.
Development target CartDev + DevSaturn
others It is convenient to have a GM-compatible MIDI sound source for composing and checking.
You also need a MIXER, amplifier, speakers, etc. to monitor multiple sound sources.

  1. For Saturn game sound production, PCM sampling work is heavily weighted, so we recommend the AudioMedia II board to improve development efficiency.
