SOUND STRUCT

1. Prepare the environment

This chapter describes how to connect the hardware to use the SEGA Sound Tool.

Mackintosh is required to produce sound.
The figure below shows the device configuration centered on the Sega Sound Tool.
If you use a commercially available tool such as AUDIOMEDIA II, the connection will be slightly different, but this is omitted in this chapter.

In preparing the equipment

  1. You can create a song without a MIDI sound module, but it is a heavy burden to work with, so we recommend using it.
  2. For MIDI sound modules that do not have a connection to the Macintosh, use the "MIDI interface".
  3. In addition to DAT, MD and CD players can also be connected to the digital in.
